Hey, don’t do any nonsense.
I haven’t read it, but apparently, in the Tibetan “Book of the Dead”; which I am not sure if Tibetan is an adjective or part of the proper title; when you die, you go past a series of lights. These lights are, what I assume, next reincarnations; and if you can just ignore them all, you get to move on.
There’s a part of me that kinda laughs, because, is there really “nothing” else I would want to experience? No, other life time?
The less I do, the easier I think that would be. The more I do, the less true I believe that to be. There’s so much to experience, and there are certainly some things on that list that are easier lights to say no too.
The older I get, and, the farther from home I get, I guess that number fluctuates.
Sometimes, the scariest thing for me to lose is my phone. I used to judge that, because it felt like a crutch but; there’s a part of me that likes to be available to certain people. However, having that space be simply available, makes me feel like I can not commit to a specific moment.
Some how, in that mix, when I am more committed to a singular moment, it feels like I might actually be able to say no to quite a few of those possibilities. However, I can not say that for previous versions of myself.
So, maybe what the book is talking about, is ways to get to the end of the rope and letting go of all those things. If you really have no desire to do this again, then you get to do something else?
Isn’t that the same as jumping into another light! I can’t even fathom it, so then I wouldn’t be me anymore. Is that not… I can’t even imagine what the other stuff is gonna be like?
So jump into the total unknown, or any shred of something similar.
That’s a tough sell man.
